I am a sixteenth generation Floridian as my family dates back to the first Spanish settlers in St. Augustine in 1565.   I was born and raised in Palm Beach County and have watched south Florida over the past five decades change from a sleepy wintering destination into a vibrant modern collection of cities with thriving business.. South Florida is a virtual melting pot of nationalities living together with excellent higher education and research facilities, arts and entertainment of all degrees.  This area now is a year-round vacation destination.
I earned my BA in Education at Florida State University in Tallahassee,  and spent two years at Southeastern Louisiana University where I earned my MA in education and exercise physiology.  During this time, I trained for the 1972 Olympics and represented the USA in gymnastics competition in Mexico, Europe, Russia, Canada and USA.
In the fall of 1973 I moved back to Florida and started working as an associate professor at the University of Florida teaching education classes.  I also formed and developed the first Gator’s women’s collegiate competitive gymnastics team.  The team, since its inception, has become one of the top ranked women’s collegiate teams in the nation.  During this time period I also completed my course work, oral and written exams for an ABD-Ph.D. specializing in Administration of Post Secondary Education.
In the spring of 1979, I moved to Fort Lauderdale to marry Robert Clobus, a Pittsburgh transplant, with a finance and economics degree from the University of Miami.  Bob is an MAI and has owned his own appraisal firm since 1976.  I started my real estate career in his office doing property searches and typing appraisal reports. 
My first association after earning my real estate license in the fall of 1979 was with the KLOCK Company, a family owned business with 17 offices in Broward and Dade counties. The company’s excellent and comprehensive sales and time management education enabled me to move into my new career swiftly and profitably even though the interest rates at the time were as high as 18%.  I continued there for five years helping corporations relocate employees and selling institutional REOs.
When the Klock Co. was purchased by Coldwell banker in 1983, I entered the management training program which lead me to manage the Plantation office from 1984-1987. 
In 1986 Bob and I were blessed with the birth of Christopher Kane.  Chris grew up in Fort Lauderdale receiving his education at St. Mark’s Episcopal School and matriculated from North Broward Preparatory School.  He graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Information Systems and business finance and went to work for the Bright Idea Corporation in New York City.  After eighteen months he was transferred to the corporate office in San Francisco where he is now director of new product development. Chris’s technical knowledge has helped me keep abreast of the technical changes in the real estate business, and I embrace this new wave of the future.
After nine years with Coldwell banker, I decided to focus my energies working directly with buyers and sellers.  I joined Intercoastal Realty, Inc. in the fall of 1988 and have been with this outstanding boutique company for the last 25 years helping individuals find their first homes, move up to their dream homes, downsize, and relocate.
I love to read, sew, decorate and stage homes for sale, take long walks with my golden retriever, Lilly, go boating , attend sports events with my husband, and peruse my collection of cookbooks for our next luscious meal.  I am a member of the 1000+Club which raises money for cancer research, Hospice of Ft. Lauderdale, and Treasurer and board member of Pinion, Inc which raises money for Special Olympics of Broward County.
My sales philosophy is based on four letters: H-E-C-F:
