The Northern Star
For those who dream big, consider the biggest yacht at this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Northern Star stretches nearly 248 feet long. It has six bedrooms to sleep 12 guests, operates with a crew of up to 22 people and carries a price tag of almost $114 million.
The steel-hull yacht, made by Germany’s Lurssen, comes with six decks that include a helicopter landing pad on the bridge. Besides its large bedrooms, the floating mansion also offers a home-theater room, a library, a living room with grand piano, a small and large jacuzzi pool and other deluxe features.
The yacht’s exterior was designed by Espen Oeino and its interiors by Pauline Nunns.
The 2009 yacht is offered through Moran Yacht & Ship brokers in Fort Lauderdale, which also has offices in Newport, R.I., and overseas in Moscow, London and Monaco.
