This sprawling city about 20 miles northwest of Fort Lauderdale has no skyscrapers - yet. The twelve story building called Country Club Tower is currently the tallest. It was developed by Coral Ridge Properties in the early 1960's. In 1964 the first of the building lots were offered for sale and the developers built a "covered bridge" to help promote the development. This very special little city is considered one of the best places to live by Money Magazine. It offers its residents over 50 municipal parks, including a water park and a skate park, Mullins Park, and Sandy Ridge Sanctuary which has 675 acres of land.
