Lighthouse PointThe city was named for the Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse, which is located in nearby Hillsboro Beach. This lovely little seaside town has winding streets and canals just off the Intracoastal Waterway. Beautiful luxury homes abound in this area which offers a full service marina with 100 wetslips able to accomodate 25' to 80' vessels on an annual or transient basis. They say they allow liveaboards and they do offer a heated pool, tennis court, mail room and ship store, a restaurant, a pump-out station and a shuttle provided by the city to local shops. There is also a yacht and racquet club and more yacht dockage. They have a lot to offer in their northeastern corner of Broward County.
