Sea Ranch Lakes
Almost directly across the Intracoastal Waterway from Bay Colony there is a small enclave called Sea Ranch Lakes. This gated village is located on the east side of The Intracoastal between Lauderdale by the Sea and Pompano and between The Intracoastal Waterway and A1A. It is a full municipality in Broward County with its own mayor, council, municipal code and police force but with fire and EMS services provided by the Broward Sheriff's Office.
It is an ideal place to live if you want a sense of community and a small town feel in the middle of everything. Most of Sea Ranch is a walled and gated community with access controlled by its small, 30 officer police force. The interior of the village is a series of winding streets around two lakes with some old and some new homes, some luxurious homes around the lakes and along the eastern Intracoastal border. It has excellent access to any number of restaurants, shopping, medical services, the ocean and The Intracoastal.
Across Highway A1A, Sea Ranch Lakes residents have membership in the private Sea Ranch Beach Club right on the ocean. This beach club has a pool, good parking, and a comfortable and lovely clubhouse with its own kitchen in which any resident may have parties. There is also a 300' beach for use of the Sea Ranch Lakes residents.
