With approximately 500 homes on quiet, tree-lined streets, it is located on the banks of the New River and contains Hortt Park and the Bill Keith Nature Preserve. It is conveniently close to I-95, Fort Lauderdale Airport, downtown Fort Lauderdale and our famous beach. The Shady Banks community is made up of a mixture of young families, adults and retirees. And their all-volunteer Civic Association organizes a variety of community events and helps keep everyone informed about local issues.Their neighbors are proud of Shady Banks and think it's a great place to live!
