Southeast Fort Lauderdale

The entire area known as southeast coastal Fort Lauderdale stretches from US1 on the west to the Atlantic Ocean on the east, from Sunrise Blvd.on the north to 17th Street on the south with a jog along the Intracoastal farther south to Port Everglades. This area encompasses some of the most important and interesting" Venice"  like real estate in the city.  Massive beachfront homes with ocean views mix companionably with former beachfront winter homes, smaller mid-century modern  beauties, elegant condominiums and hotels alongside older, smaller apartment hotels between the Intracoastal and the Atlantic Ocean - all enjoy their great locations together.  Meandering westward and southward, you will come to the prime real estate on the canals of Las Olas, Harbor Beach, Rio Vista, Colee Hammock, Victoria Park, Sunrise Key and Sunrise Intracoastal.

A Water Taxi or your own boat can take you for a memorable tour through these waterways and the Intracoastal Waterway goes north and south for many miles with differing views along the way.  These Water Taxis can even take you to your evening's entertainment and bring you back home if you live on the water or are close to one of their dock/pick-up stations.

The downtown "boutique" area is a fun center all day for shopping and all evening for dining and partying.  Las Olas downtown is also a center for art festivals and wine and food tasting events.  Just west of downtown is the theater district and the start of Riverwalk which is real plus for our town.
