Weston Ft. Lauderdale, FL
-
Weston, which is the westernmost suburb of Fort Lauderdale where it is bordered by the Everglades. It was established in 1996. Many buyers in the late 1990's and early 2000's, wanted more land, better public schools and newer homes than those offered in the city of Fort Lauderdale so they created their own neighborhood! It consistently ranks high in the "Biggest Earners" category in Money Magazine and also as one of the best places to live in America. It is a beautiful neighborhood to drive through even though many of the subdivisions are gated and it is hard to see the most luxurious homes.
As of the 2010 census, there were 23,494 households in Weston. There is an ecectic mix of residents with many Venezuelans, Colombians, Peruvians, and Puerto Ricans and native born Americans living in friendly harmony.
