The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

For more than 50 years the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show has brought together yacht builders, designers, brokers and buyers of every imaginable type of water vessel. The event is held every year in late October as the weather gets ugly up north and perfect in Fort Lauderdale.

Floating docks, huge tents and unbelievable mega yachts gather for the show.

The show is a floating fantasy centered on the Intracoastal Waterway at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center. Over the years the show has grown to include a total of six separate locations in Southeast Fort Lauderdale and more than 3 million square feet of space. The show attracts thousands of water lovers from around the globe, all looking to buy a new “yacht” or just to see the boats, accessories, equipment and much more. This is a fun filled event which draws from the local area as well as the international world. Even for the people who have been there many times, it is still new and exciting every year. There are weeks of preparation for local residents to watch. Floating docks, huge tents and unbelievable mega yachts gather for the show. Exhibits range from yacht builders and designers to exotic cars and brokerage yachts. A wide variety of boats and other sea vessels will be on display including runabouts, sailing and motor yachts, catamarans, inflatables and truly extraordinary super yachts. There is something for everyone there!
